I contacted this company for help with a tax return. I got a call back the next day from Alex, and we went over the details of the return, and he quoted me an estimate of the total fee which was comparable to the advertised fee for the service I requested. Following that, he sent me an intake form to input all the documentation, which I spent quite some time doing, and sharing sensitive information online (W2's 1099's, etc.) After I did all that, Alex emailed me to say that the fee would be 3 times the amount estimated, based on arbitrary reasoning (for example, $200 extra based on income amount, $300 extra for having a brokerage account). This long list of additional items that tripled the fee are part of most tax returns and should have been already known from the original phone call. I found it quite annoying that I had to spend so much time completing their forms and uploading sensitive info before they told me the fee was 3x the original estimate. I wouldn't normally enter a negative review for bait and switch tactics, but in this case, I feel that it's warranted based on the wasted time and having to share so much sensitive information before the switch happened. Update: I read the reply posted below and will respond here: I'm not concerned with how many satisfied customers you have had, I'm only concerned with how my case was handled. In my case, there was a blatant attempt at price gouging based on the following facts: 1. The quote was 3 x the original estimate. 2. The quote was 3 x what I have paid under the same type of service during the past few years with the same work involved. 3. The quote was 3 x what I am now paying another firm to perform this same exact service after rejecting your inflated quote.

This business is by far the best one I’ve worked with. I moved all my books businesses and personal admin stuff to them. They are extremely efficient fast and really get the work done! Roy is awesome. I needed an accountant very quickly. I only had a 5 day window to have my tax issue addressed. He stepped up in short notice and delivered.
