I would give zero stars if I could. He charged $1200 for individual taxes. I then got audited on those taxes. He charged another $3000 to slap a letter on documents I provided during tax preparation and again at audit. He said his hourly rate is $304. So, nine hours to do that?

Let me tell you, I have a problem letting people know about my finances, I was a bit worried coming into Stephen Miller CPA, but you know what? Angel and Raisa are just completely amazing, yes you gotta pay their rate, but you know what? These people go above and beyond for you. If you are looking for wonderful gentle people to help you figure out your finances and get completely on track. These are the people to talk to!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Do NOT use this place for ANYTHING!!! Had a business and personal taxes set up here and have gotten screwed over and over by these people. Our taxes ended up being completely done 2.5 months AFTER the filing due date because they kept getting behind when we gave them everything in February (so plenty of time to get it done by April yet it took and extra 2.5 months past the IRS due date) and there was a bunch of hidden fees that kept coming up. AND personal business Angel sends huge bills one week after another for the same “work done” but all different huge costs and the business is no longer in use. The account is supposed to have been stopped completely yet in the past two-three weeks we’ve owed over $3,000 for payroll taxes and fees when there is NO payroll, the business is no longer running. This is a scam. They tell you “this is the last bill” and then send another one around the same amount a week or two later and say the same thing “this is the last bill.” Do NOT use this place for anything. All their hidden fees will rob you blind!

One star is too much. I needed a CPA and being my first time I did not know what to expect. I have done my own taxes for over 20 years and at the most owed around $1000.00. I met with Angel and she sounded unsure to me but I decided I needed a CPA so I went with them. She said we need a $400.00 retainer. HR block did my business taxes and only charged $300. So I figured that was good and there was no mention of any further expenses. I Got all my paperwork that I could to them by April 15. There was an extension so and they said I need to file one. I get a call finally May 15 the last day. I was on the road and this guy says I owe $12,000 pay now today or you suffer an IRS penalty. I was shocked. Then I was really shocked when I received a bill for over $3000.00. I use lawyers that didn't charge that amount. I feel the customer service is bad and when you do chat with them they are abrupt and demeaning. I told them the concerns and they did cut the price in half at my request. However when I asked for more copies even a digital copy they would not send it to me because of a personality conflict. Not a very good way to do business. The whole thing was a nightmare. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. UPDATE. The Federal IRS gave me a $6000 dollar refund indicating that Stephen R Miller CPA made a $6000.00 error!

In the past I have use TurboTax and H&R Block online. Never really knowing if I was doing it right or not. Recently I meet Steve and decided to give him a shot. I was blown away with the service I received. First off his staff Angel and Megan were friendly, knowledgeable and very responsive. I truly felt that Steve and his staff went out of their way to make sure my taxes were complete in a reasonable amount of time and request documents I didn’t know were needed. You won’t find a more professional group to work with.

I've been going to Stephen Miller and his able assistant Angel since the mid 1990s. It's always a very comforting experience to know and feel that the tax returns are being done perfectly. And the mood in the office is always very warm and friendly and the free candy to eat is always top-notch! And Steve has given me great advice over the years regarding various financial matters. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else but this office to have my tax returns done.
