I've been happy with Bruce and his team for around a decade or so now. They've assisted with my business and personal taxes, along with filing other financial documents. While they understandably get overwhelmed around tax deadlines due to sheer volume, they've always submitted all fiscal information accurately and on time, at a fair price.

Hi ....is this firm downsizing. I am confused. I got a letter saying they will not my taxes because they are downsizing so does that means they are probably closing that office They did a decent job but I am wondering what happened

On tax day, it was discovered that Toone & Assoc had both my ssn and address incorrect. In speaking with Bruce Toone (at 4pm on tax day) he assured me it was no big deal, the return hadn't been filed & that they would correct the errors. Seconds later (while still on the phone with Bruce Toone) I received an auto generated email confirmation from Toone & Assoc that the return had been filed (with the incorrect information and without my approval). Bruce continued to say that the return hadn't been filed and finally conceded that it had indeed been filed but that it would be corrected. Toone made no effort to have the return corrected. The IRS flagged the return as potentially fraudulent and I have spent the last three years untangling the mess created by Toone. The first step in untangling the mess was to provide the IRS with details from the return but Toone failed to provide me with a copy of the return & didn't reply to either emails nor voice mails, saying later that Bruce was out of state for a period of time. Six months later, I was finally able to receive a copy of the return and begin the process of straightening things out.

This place is awful, rude people and unless you are a business you will be put Last, however they will not tell you that the because they are only worried about a deadline not worried about you getting your money back as soon as possible and when you do question them they will get rude and they even hang up on you. I highly recommend you go somewhere else and do not give these people your time of day or your money.

If I could give this firm 0 stars I would. The unprofessionalism my husband and I experienced is unprecidented. Not only did they preliminarily accept us as new clients, they failed to communicate appropriately (after receiving all of our sensitive information) and then told us they were no longer taking new clients. Additionally, associate Amanda (who did not disclose her last name) hung up on me when I was expressing my dissatisfaction. Some of the other reviews mention they are unethical, incompetent, and non-responsive. These adjectives are right on point. I almost want to go so far as to say they detect the COLOR of my voice and this is what prompted their rudeness. Nevertheless, BEWARE and do your homework. Next stop...The BBB!!!

Toone and Associates have done a great job with our personal federal and state taxes! We are satisfied and grateful! Also, I want to add that Elsa Ong, a staff member of Toone and Associates is a SUPERSTAR! She is really good! Elsa does excellent work for my family and me.

Bruce toone‘s firm has been wonderful to me and my family. The staff is very friendly, and always responds to emails quickly. I worked with toone associates for over 10 years.

During this current Corona Crisis, I submitted my personal and business taxes to Toone and Associates and, working remotely, they prepared my taxes and EFiled them VERY QUICKLY! Since, I got a State refund 4 days ago and my FEDERAL refund today! The timing could not have been more perfect - they were just great and are working hard to provide top service and expertise! After years of getting help from family and friends on my tax returns, I decided to finally get professional assistance. A family member recommended me to call Bruce and at least get a consultation with my taxes. I called the office and spoke with Lena who assisted me in setting up my profile, getting my documentation in order, and setting up an appointment during a time that was most convenient for me. Bruce was easy to talk to who helped me understand things that I am doing wrong and things that I can improve on with handling my money and to maximize my tax return. Bruce and the staff at Toone made me feel relaxed and confident that I am getting the best service and advice possible. My tax return was processed immediately upon payment. I have recommended my mother to go seek advice from Toone and will recommend more family and friends to them. Thanks to Bruce, Lena, and Toone & Associates for helping my mother and I with our taxes! I started my own defense consulting business about three years ago, needless to say starting a business this complex from scratch is challenging, I had some runway before starting my business and interviewed five separate accountants on recommendations from friends. Bruce was one of them, his keen interest or should I say passion to get the best deal for the small business owner is parallel to none. As a result of working with him, the tax and financial planning end of my business is doing very well, I can truly say, with Bruce on board, I don’t have to worry about the IRS and can concentrate on my core business (this is a hallmark of a great accountant), I am so glad I found him. For those with negative reviews on here, if you un-able to appreciate the exceptional value Bruce and Amanda offer, I suggest you move on, you will not be missed.
