Perhaps The Most Incompetent C.P.A.s on the Planet. I called H & S looking for someone to file an annual tax return for state withholding taxes. They quickly asked me if I could come in and meet with a C.P.A. and partner in the firm {name omitted}. I met with him and another accountant and explained the need and provided the relevant information. They asked for all my accounting business, and I told them that I would be interested in doing that if they completed this task quickly and correctly. At the end of the meeting, I reiterated the specific need and asked if they needed anything additional to proceed. I was told no and that they would work on it first thing tomorrow. Two weeks later, I received a call from the C.P.A. asking for additional documentation so they could proceed with providing additional accounting services. I told them I would get this information to them and asked if they had completed the return so I could sign it. The answer was no, but we will get it done. Three weeks later I stopped in with my additional documentation assuming that the form would be ready to be signed and mailed. When I arrived, I was told that the C.P.A. could not meet with me as they were busy. I told the secretary that was fine, I just wanted to drop off the additional paperwork and pick up the annual tax return so I could file it. She did not have the prepared form for me but told me the C.P.A. would call me as soon as his meeting was concluded. I did not receive a call but did call him 3 weeks later asking why I had not been contacted and if the form had ever been completed. The C.P.A. acted like I had never spoken to him about the preparation of the tax return and asked that I email him the request from the state I had received due to the non-filing. I sent the document while on the phone with the C.P.A. and asked if he had received it. He replied yes and that he would call me when it was done. Six weeks later I called again asking if the form had been completed and once again, he acted like I had never asked him to complete the form but told me he would do it. Finally, I gave up on him and called requesting that my documentation be available the next morning for pickup. When I arrived purposefully in the afternoon, the documentation was still not ready, I waited 15 minutes but had to leave. I returned 4 days later, and they gave me only the documents I first gave the C.P.A. on the original visit and was told they had lost all my personal tax documents and could no longer return them to me.

The first time I came here I sat with them while they did my taxes, took all of 10 minutes. This year I dropped them off, took them 2 weeks to even file them. It's been a month since they were supposedly filed and still no return. Called and left a message about it a week ago and no one has gotten back to me. Out of the 10 years I have had to file taxes, I have never had such a long, drawn out experience. Will never be going here again.

Urgency was not a priority. If youre looking to receive your refund quickly, I recommend looking elsewhere.

We worked with Katie. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and has great communication skills! Whenever we had a question she always responded immediately! We had our income taxes done the prior year with another income tax office and they did not do them correctly! We had issues and brought them to her and she corrected them within 2 weeks!! I would highly recommend H&S Companies to anyone! Their prices are very reasonable and actually less than the company that did our income taxes incorrectly.

We worked with Randy at H&S to file our taxes this year. He was very thorough and got to know us so he could ask the pertinent questions that would help him prepare our taxes correctly. It was the easiest tax preparation and filing experience I’ve ever had.
