We had Capital City Accounting and Tax Services (in Jefferson City, MO) do our taxes for several years. For several years they did them correctly. However, this year, we had a different CPA handle our taxes. While our new CPA was looking back, he discovered that Capital City Accounting and Tax Services had made a serious mistake in both the 2021 and 2022 tax years. This amounted to $9,700 in back taxes plus interest and penalties (and $325 in amendments) on account a mistake that they made. When confronted on it, they admitted that it was their mistake, however, they are refusing to correct the wrong that they have made.

Capital City Accounting has done my taxes for the past two years, and I've had an excellent experience with them. They're thorough and accurate, respond quickly, and have suggested additional deductions I may be able to take. I'm very happy with this company.
