We hired this firm, specifically, as a CPA "experienced" with "Real Estate" taxes & strategies, for 2024. This firms services have been subpar and certainly not what I expect from a CPA, who's expertise is "real estate." The list of failures, since hiring this services, are as follows: 1. Payton's responses, since hiring this firm early this year, are always inconsistent and slow. 2. Their voicemail states, "returns calls within 24hrs," which has consistantly proven to be false. They never answer calls. 3. When they were relocating offices, I had to call the adjacent insurance agency, to determine whether or not they were even still in business. Simply, because they weren't responding to client calls or emails, for more than a week or two. 4. They have consistantly failed to complete tasks and deliver timely and on dates, which they define and commit to. 5. Payton presented himself as a tax "strategist," but when tax strategies are mentioned, rather than presenting to the client what the client could do, or would have to do in order for a tax strategy to fit, they simply respond like any average bookkeeper would, by stating why it won't work. This is the first sign of a lazy CPA, who's not working for you. 6. Payton failed to make a single suggestion or recommendation, how a client can leverage the tax code to save taxes. Client always discovers strategies on his own, and asked, prompting the conversation. 7. Lastly, we're not even confident, that our 2023 personal and real estate business taxes, were completed competently, completely and properly by this firm. **Warning** If you're seeking a CPA who's working for you, and not maximizing IRS' pockets, I would highly recommend seeking a CPA who's truly knowledgeable, understands the tax code, and how to leverage legal and lawful tax savings. We believe Turbo Tax provides a superior service by comparison, at a third of the cost, providing a more methodical and accurate experience. I don't question whether or not my returns completed by Turbo Tax, were done accurately and methodical. In all honesty, Payton would be better served as an employee for another tax firm, rather than his own. He doesn't have the experience or discipline, to properly manage his time or clients. Lastly, his other reviews leaving feedback, can not possibly be "real" tax clients.

Payton Gillis, CPA is an absolutely incredible resource! I’ve spoken on two different webinars with Payton and was blown away by his knowledge and presentation. I would recommend any real estate investor looking for a top notch CPA who specializes in real estate to reach out to Payton ASAP!
