I could post without given one star, but even one is way too many! If you are a small business and you are the only employee, please be careful if you are considering employing this firm. If you have investments or specific retirement accounts as they relate to a small business, again, be careful. If you contribute to an HSA of your own business, be careful. There are a lot of nuances they did not understand in running a small business, and in fact they researched the information and charged me for the time. In the end, I was handed a bill of close to $13,000 after I had already paid $1100 for my personal taxes! Their reasoning was in part due to the amount of time they spent "cleaning up" my Quickbooks account, which was disorganized, but if allowed, easily explained. The time spent exaggerated especially since I have access to the history of time spent in my QBs. I Any confusion or questions, I could have easily explained the entries, but I got the feeling they did not care and just wanted to go home for the day. They made up categories that did not make sense for my business, but more importantly they did not understand my business model or business. (I'm an advertising agency which specializes in media buying, and for the most part I'm paid based on my Client's spend, which is the agency commission received from a media outlet.) I have one bank account, one credit card and one checking account all allocated to my business. I was granted two meetings which ended up being monopolized by Fred and my concerns dismissed. There were several mistakes on my taxes, but one of the more egregious ones was when Fred applied a payment made to the IRS toward my 2022 taxes, yet it had been applied to my 2021 taxes. I had explicitly told him, and had given him an excel worksheet with all contributions etc. Further, you can go to the IRS website and see it was applied to 2021. He never applied some of my expenses from an expense report. Keep in mind, i sent my taxes to him in a timely manner too. I could write several pages of my experience, but I've wasted enough time and energy with this place/accountant. In retrospect, I should have sued for malpractice. Either way, this is just a cautionary tail for anyone who owns a small business to be careful if employing his firm.

I would highly recommend Lewis and Associates. They are competent and very thorough.

I am 10 year + client. They have played the role of coach, teacher and accountant. Sometimes Lewis and Associates simply do their job....well. The most important thing to me is that I believe they actually want my business.

They are very competent and easy to work with. My husband runs his own consulting business, and they were very helpful in guiding us about appropriate tax planning for a household with one person self employed and another as a W-2. Timely, efficient. Much better experience than we had with our last accountant. I highly recommend!
