ZERO STAR REVIEW: It was our (my husband and I) first time coming here, off a family referral. A mistake was made on my husband’s return (SS number entered incorrectly by one digit) and because we are married, it messed mine up as well. I had never had any problems before this. As confusing as it was, when I received another call about our e-file status being rejected because of an incorrect SS number. The only person who was asked to verify things was me, not my husband. So we had to pick up our taxes on the 15th and mail them certified, which costs money to ensure they would be postdated that day. I spoke with the IRS and SS office about the problem Kelly said she had with my returns, but they both said my info was all correct. I called to inform the office of this and was met with a “well I don’t know what to tell you…” so I requested all paperwork, which she provided. When we looked back at the rejection paperwork given to us by Kelly, it clearly states that the issue was that my husband’s SS number did not match his name(it said Spouse multiple times). She did not look into that because it could have and should have been caught if I, (someone who does not do taxes) saw it. But she insisted that it was my name that did not match my SS number. When I called to inquire about other possible errors or reasons for the problem, instead of receiving help, Kelly got somewhat defensive. When I informed her of what the IRS said, she said they were wrong. I told her I wasn’t trying to argue with her, but I was just telling her I verified my info to be correct with both agencies (contrary to what she has stated multiple times). She then says rudely…” Oh, so it’s my fault, then..!?!?” At the time, I did not know it, but YES, IT WAS VERY MUCH HER FAULT! This tax year has been problematic because of a simple error, but made worse because of her lack of effort to make it right or even make sure she really did not make a mistake AT ALL. It would have been nice to have more empathy or more of a willingness for her to double-check her work instead of assuming that the problem was unknown and she did all she could do. She said she did not know who the problem was… the papers said it: my spouse’s SSN did not match his name and on his paperwork it gives her instructions to verify HIS information, not mine. She did everything BUT read the instructions on rejection papers fix a problem she created in the first place by having her finger one key too far over to the right. If that isn’t “her fault” I don’t know what is.

Love this place. I don't have a tax brain. They have been filing my taxes for over 2 decades. They did start a new thing by making you pay when you pick up. They used to wait until your taxes were deposited into your bank account. Oh well... Its still something I dont have to think about. I trust them.

We’ve been goin to Kelly for almost 20 years!! She is up on current laws and updates! I highly recommend her to everyone because she is the BEST at what she does!!!!

Rude rude rude. Every time. They told me that can’t look up the mistake (that they made) on my taxes from last year, when they filed them. Costs have gone up over the years and the attitudes have too.

Will never be coming back here again. When I realized my extension deadline had passed & I hadn't heard from them, I tried calling several times and once I was finally able to get ahold of them, they (rudely) told me my taxes weren't complete because they were missing something from me.... but I was never informed of this until then. I provided them with the documents they needed and still have not heard back. So if you want to pay fines to the IRS & work with an unresponsive CPA with an attitude problem - go to ABC Tax!
