My husband and I have used the Hillsborough office of Greg Isley, CPA to prepare our tax returns for years. Tammie D., the office manager, is the best! She is friendly and answers any questions we may have. She has wonderful communication skills and is always willing to help.

Anthony Sartor is the absolute best. He takes the time for each of his clients (without rushing), calls back, provides the best service and the best tax returns. Any questions or advice that you will have, he will be able to answer them swiftly and with the best customer service. Thank you so much, Anthony!!

STAY AWAY if you expect your CPA to a) Know and understand your business and personal circumstances, b) Offer advice to help you do the right thing, let alone collaborate on how your accounts are set up and manged day to day; c) explain things to help you understand why/when they happen with the IRS and/or NCDOR; d) be personable or empathetic to your situation; d) charge a fair price for what they deliver (which is completley different than the market rate for CPA services). Very, very disappointing ongoing experience with this firm on many levels and across various needs. Moving on and you should, too.

We’ve worked with them for a couple of years for our business and personal tax filings and the staff has always been very helpful and responsive to our needs, and frequently available to jump on calls to answer questions or resolve any issues. Recently we’ve had some problems related to QuickBooks and Anthony Sartor with his knowledge and expertise went above and beyond in assisting us in this matter. Anthony is awesome; we love working with him!

I'm disappointed in the service. I excused last year's bad service thinking with Covid, they were overwhelmed, but this year has been worse. We got them everything they needed a month before tax returns were due, and then kept putting us off, and now it's mid May they are just getting our taxes done. Ours are not complicated! We have been customers of this practice since before Jim Ogburn bought it. We won't be back.

We met with Greg once then he handed our account off to Colleen and Tom. He charged an arm and a leg for Colleen's work, for every email and phone call! Much worse though was that when preparing our 2018 tax returns, Tom neglected to include one source of income for us. I have just gotten another bill, this one from the State, because of that error. Isley and his staff didn't offer to amend the returns, to write to the IRS, or to try to fix the problem in any way. No apology, not even the time of day. This firm has very poor ethics and work habits. If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would.

Stay far away from this place unless you want your taxes screwed up. Laura made a mistake on my personal 2018 returns and didnt even bother to correct it properly last year, so now no stimulus check, and no tax refund for me for a very long time since the IRS is so backlogged it will take months to re-file my 2018 returns CORRECTLY. They should know, being a CPA, how to correct their mistakes properly. They also turned in all of my family's taxes late and didnt even tell them they were filing for an extension. We hired him for our business and we met Greg 1 time, when we first signed with him, after that he NEVER returned multiple messages or would meet again to discuss anything. We hired HIM to be our CPA, not his office workers that clearly dont know what they are doing! I didn't even get an apology from Laura, Greg or anyone at all for screwing up my taxes, and they acted like they didn't care at all when we canceled with them so I would recommend to stay away from this place..
