Mike Mansbach's Raleigh Accounting and Tax Strategies is the best tax accounting firm I have had in 57 years of tax filings for business and personal. His firm is fast, highly efficient, friendly, experienced and knows the ever changing tax laws. In 2022 I forgot to provide an annuity filing document. Mike graciously filed an amended return at no addition cost and I received a major IRS refund later. Its always best to use small family oriented firms like Mike's who treat you like family.

This is your sign because I never leave reviews but I gave this establishment a second chance and actually regretted it the second time as well. Both times this man spoke to me like I was an inconvenience to him. Not friendly, not professional, not considerate. He’s lucky to have his wife help him smooth over his demeanor because she’s the only reason I considered giving a second chance. But the second chance, I ran into him instead of her, and he again had a demeanor of disgruntled annoyance. I thought you were here to help ppl with their taxes, not be annoyed that ppl need help with their taxes. I was a loyal client of Tim Wicker for 10+ years and now I have to find a new CPA because I refuse to give my money to someone who treats their customers like that. My taxes are easy and would be easy money for him but he’d rather treat me like an inconvenient annoyance. Any client base this establishment has, was purchased from the hard work of Tim Wicker. I was happily his client for 10+ years. After the business was sold, they made all types of changes but failed to notify clients. One of the changes was payment expectations. When I came to gather my taxes to review, they demanded payment, and held my documents and taxes hostage if I did not comply. I told them I was unaware of this new implementation and did not appreciate being made aware of it by my paperwork being held hostage. They wasted my time and trip by not informing me so I could come appropriately prepared. In the end, they realized their ways were completely unprofessional especially since they didn’t inform me of their expectations. They had a special meeting with me and apologized profusely (his wife) for such an unpleasant experience….and then the second chance was as unpleasant as the first. Save yourself from being spoken to like an inconvenience and find someone more professional that actually appreciates loyal customers.

Mike helped sort out a rather complicated tax year when I had moved from the U.K. to start a new self-employed job in sales. He handled the special forms needed re: UK and was always available to help out with my questions. I will be working with him and his friendly team in the years ahead.

I found Mike through a friend a couple years ago when I was desperate to find an accountant who could find common ground with my then husband, and handle some complicated tax issues, (We had 3 businesses and a W2 to sort out.) Mike went out of his way to meet with us during tax season (we were late in dealing with our paperwork), answered our questions, and got us filed on time! We have been using him ever since. He is patient, a clear communicator of the tax law and concerns specific to our complicated cases, and is extremely knowledgable about updates to the tax law that can affect us.
